Your guide to everything you need to know about The McCall House Afternoon Royal Tea — from reservations and seasonal offerings to dietary details, group bookings, and policies.

What days and times is Afternoon Royal Tea offered?We host Afternoon Royal Tea Fridays through Sundays at 1:00 PM. Each service lasts approximately 90 minutes. In-house guests may reserve tea any day of the week with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability.

Do you offer gift certificates?Yes. Gift certificates can be purchased online or at the front desk — a perfect way to share the Afternoon Royal Tea experience.

What happens if I need to cancel my reservation?We ask for a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for all cancellations or changes. Reservations canceled with less notice are non-refundable.

How do I make a reservation?Reservations can be made directly through our website by clicking Reserve Your Table. In-house guests may also reserve through the front desk or by calling us.

Can I walk in without a reservation?At this time, we do not accept same-day reservations or walk-ins. To ensure your spot, please book in advance.

What is included in the Afternoon Royal Tea service?Each service includes seasonal single-estate loose-leaf teas, artisan breads from La Baguette, handcrafted sweets from Jolene’s Sweets, warm scones with house-made clotted cream, seasonal citrus posset, petite French macarons, and seasonal fruit garnishes — all served on vintage china.

Is the clotted cream made in-house?Yes, our clotted cream is made in-house for every service and always included in your Afternoon Royal Tea experience.

How long is the seating?Each tea service is 90 minutes, allowing time to savor your experience while ensuring we prepare properly for the next seating.

Can I take photos during tea service?Yes. We welcome photos to remember your experience. For the comfort of all guests, please keep photography discreet and respectful.

What if I have food allergies?Please disclose any allergies at the time of your reservation. While we will do our best to accommodate, our kitchen is not allergen-free, and cross-contact cannot be guaranteed.

Do you have vegetarian or gluten-free options?Yes! Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available with advance notice. Please note we are unable to accommodate dairy-free or vegan menus.

Can I book Afternoon Royal Tea for a private event?Yes. We offer private tea parties for groups of six or more. A $200 non-refundable deposit is required for group bookings.

Groups & GratuityFor parties of six or more, an 18% gratuity will be added automatically to the final bill to ensure quality service. This policy applies to all bookings, including regular tea service and private events. For group reservations, we kindly request that the bill be paid as a single transaction.

Do you offer seasonal teas?Yes! Our tea selection changes with the seasons, featuring locally sourced blends curated for the perfect cup.

Where can I park?Complimentary parking is available for guests in the lot behind The McCall House or along Oak Street.

Atmosphere & ExperienceAfternoon Royal Tea is designed to be a quiet, elegant experience. We kindly ask that guests keep conversations at a pleasant volume to maintain the refined atmosphere. Photography is welcome but should be discreet and respectful of other guests.

What if I’m running late?We will hold your table for 20 minutes past your reservation time. Please call us if you are delayed so we can adjust accordingly.
